Why We Built This Site
Public access in Washington begins with the court that holds the file. Jenn Biggar, the Douglas County Clerk of Superior Court, maintains Superior Court records for civil, felony criminal, domestic, adoption, juvenile, probate, guardianship, paternity, and mental-illness matters. Douglas County District Court keeps its own limited-jurisdiction records, and East Wenatchee Municipal Court maintains city cases. Washington Courts Search Case Records and Odyssey Portal provide reference case information, but a filed document or certified copy must come from the court of record.
Washington GR 31 access rules generally support public access to court records, subject to laws, court rules, and court orders. GR 22 restricts access to specified family-law and guardianship materials. Douglas County also makes an important routing distinction: RCW 42.56 governs agency public records, but the county's ordinary Public Records Act request process is not the route for a judicial case file. A case-file request goes directly to Superior Court, District Court, or the municipal court that keeps it.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Douglas County, Washington Courts, or any clerk or court. Its role is limited to organizing public-source routing information. It cannot perform the work of a court office:
- We cannot issue a certified docket, order, or other court document
- We cannot seal, remove, or amend a case or docket entry
- We cannot change or reset a court date or hearing
- We cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
- We cannot offer legal advice or apply the law to a specific case
- We cannot promise that a listed fee, setting, or contact detail has not changed
An official or certified Douglas County court record must be issued by the clerk or court that maintains the case. This site can identify that office, but it cannot supply the document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes found on some pages. They operate their own services, determine their own prices, and control their results. If a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a subscription, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps make the reference material available without a visitor charge. We do not set a partner's fees or decide which records its service returns.
