Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the results. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It is kept within our organization and is not disclosed to an outside party unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive certain technical details each time a visitor loads a page:

No Court-Record Data on File
Douglas County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general directions for finding Douglas County, Washington court information through the Douglas County Clerk of Superior Court, the court that holds the case, Odyssey Portal, or Washington Courts search services. Washington GR 31 generally governs access to court records, while GR 22 restricts access to specified family-law and guardianship records and protected information. RCW 42.56, the Washington Public Records Act, is not the Douglas County request route for judicial case files. Those files must be requested from the court of record. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case records.

Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices, which we do not manage. Review the applicable policy before entering a query.
